DEMO: Veneering

We're excited to welcome master furniture maker John Ancker for a demonstration of applying wood veneer with a vacuum press and specialty glues.

John started in the woodworking business making custom fixtures and speaker boxes for an upscale stereo and video company. That work led to customers asking for cabinets to house their new equipment, as well as furniture. "Over the course of 40 years, I have been fortunate to work with some of the most beautiful and expensive materials available," John says. "Solid wood is great, but veneer can create pieces that are visually stunning. The majority of my work has included a combination of both."
