Whether you’re working on furniture, boxes, or cutting boards, the final finish can make or break a project. This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the art and science of wood finishing. Finishing is one of the most critical—and often overlooked—aspects of woodworking.
We will cover a wide range of finishing options, including oils, waxes, shellac, lacquer, polyurethane, and more. Students will learn how to select the right finish for a given project, how to prepare wood surfaces, and how to apply finishes with confidence and consistency.
