Get a complete introduction to the lathe and woodturning! You'll learn how the lathe works, correct stance and tool use, and fundamental techniques.
This class is a prerequisite for woodturning novices before advancing to other turning classes.
Face shields are provided. Dust masks are recommended (N95 or better).
DRESS CODE
- Wear a closed-collar or high-necked shirt or jacket to keep shavings out
- Closed-toe, slip resistant shoes or boots required; prepare to stand for about 3 hours.
- Tie back long hair/beards. No drawstrings, scarves, or other dangling items. NO jewelry on hands.
