Orientation Part II

Gain a greater understanding of our shop equipment in this follow up to our basic Shop Orientation class. This new class is not required for membership, but it is recommended for newcomers to woodworking and anyone who wants to grow their skills and confidence in the workshop.

You'll get hands-on experience with tools not covered in our regular orientation, including:

• Bandsaw
• Drill Press
• Jointer
• Planer
• Drum sander
• Belt and spindle sanders

Safety glasses and hearing protection required; kits are for sale at the shop or you may bring your own. Dust masks are strongly recommended. 

Dress Code

• Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes -- absolutely no sandals or flip flops
• No loose, flowing clothing, drawstrings, etc. No jewelry.
• Long hair/beards must be tied back

Teens ages 15-17 permitted with adult in attendance.
