NOTE: This is a two-day class.
Meets 9 am - noon Saturday and Sunday
PREREQUISITE: Some table saw experience is strongly recommended
Learn the basics of crafting a picture frame with precisely mitered corners. Then, we will demonstrate a few techniques to enhance both the aesthetics and strength of your frame using router profiles, miter keys, and more. You will also learn how to accurately measure your frame to fit your artwork. Finally, we will cover how to add a mat and glass to complete your piece.
All participants will make a frame to fit an 8x10 image. Sorry, no custom dimensions.
Tools used include the table saw, miter saw, bandsaw, drum sander, jointer, thickness planer, and hand plane.
