Shop Orientation

Shop Orientation is required prior to using the shop at Dovetail Community Workshop as a member and for some class series. Not required for most individual project classes.  

We'll cover our shop procedures and expectations, basic shop safety, and practices particular to community woodworking. You will also get hands-on practice with the table saw and miter saw.  

Safety glasses and hearing protection required; kits are for sale at the shop or you may bring your own. Dust masks are strongly recommended. 

Dress Code

• Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes -- absolutely no sandals or flip flops
• No loose, flowing clothing, drawstrings, etc. No jewelry.
• Long hair/beards must be tied back

Teens ages 15-17 permitted with adult in attendance.
