NOTE: Class meets both Aug 3 and 10
This hands-on course introduces students to several core wood bending methods—kerf cutting, lamination, and steam bending. Participants will develop the skills needed to create smooth, consistent curves and repeatable results. Students will learn how wood reacts when it's stressed.
Day 1 will focus on creating a form around which the wood is bent, along with demonstrations and practice with bending methods. On Day 2 students will remove the bent wood, clean it up, and discuss how it can be used.
