Class details

PREREQUISITE: Intro to Woodturning or basic, recent woodturning experience. Please attend an Intro to Woodturning class if you have never used a lathe.

Now that you've learned some basic woodturning techniques, it's time to make your first project! We will have examples of easy spindle turning projects you can make without additional hardware kits. Project choices may include honeydippers, candle holders, rolling pins, and others.

Face shields are provided. Dust masks are recommended (N95 or better).

DRESS CODE

- Wear a closed-collar or high-necked shirt or jacket to keep shavings out

- Closed-toe, slip resistant shoes or boots required; prepare to stand for about 3 hours.

- Tie back long hair/beards. No drawstrings, scarves, or other dangling items. NO jewelry on hands.
