Woodturning: Bowls

PREREQUISITE: Intro to Woodturning class or recent basic experience with the lathe. Not a beginner class.

NOTE: This is a two-part class that meets Tuesday, Aug 15, and Thursday, Aug 17, from 6-9 pm.

Learn the fundamental techniques to turn a bowl on the lathe. In this two-part class, you'll learn about the tools and accessories used in bowl turning such as chucks, faceplates, and bowl gouges, along with the process of rounding a rough blank into shape inside and out. You'll have a small bowl to take home when finished!

Class Tuition: $125 

Materials Fee: $15 

DRESS CODE

• Wear a closed-collar or high-necked shirt or jacket to keep shavings out
• Closed-toe, slip resistant shoes or boots required; prepare to stand for about 3 hours.
• Tie back long hair/beards. No drawstrings, scarves, or other dangling items. NO jewelry on hands.
