Woodturning: Bowls

PREREQUISITE: Intro to Woodturning class or recent basic experience with the lathe. 

THIS IS A TWO-PART CLASS, meeting both Sept 19 and Sept 21.

Learn the fundamental techniques to turn a bowl on the lathe. We'll cover tools and accessories used in bowl turning such as chucks, faceplates, and bowl gouges, along with the process of rounding a rough blank into shape inside and out. You'll have a small bowl to take home when finished!

Face shields are provided in class; dust masks are recommended (not provided). Wear a high-necked shirt or smock to keep shavings out. You must also be able to stand for most of the class time.
