PREREQUISITE: Intro to Woodturning or demonstrated equivalent lathe safety and turning skills.
Woodturning is a skill that takes time to develop. With regular practice, you will become more comfortable with the lathe, gouges, and chisels, and your creations will reflect your progress!
In this Open Studio time you can practice your woodturning skills or work on a project that you already have the skills to complete under the supervision of a woodturning instructor. Beads-and-cove spindles, handles, bowls, and boxes are all appropriate for this session. For beginners, this is an excellent next step before moving on to more advanced turning classes or projects.
Participants are welcome to come and go at any time during the session.
Session Fee: $40
Materials Fee: $10 (optional)
You may bring your own wood, or add the Materials Fee to purchase blanks from the shop.
