Make a Cutting Board

NOTE: This is a two-part class. Part 2 will be scheduled by appointment. Class is limited to 4 people.
Make a classic cutting board using contrasting hardwoods. You get to choose your woods and design your board as you like. Choose the Do It Together ticket to make one project together with a friend!
Skill level: Beginner
Cost: $55-65 plus tax
You must bring your own PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, face mask) or you may purchase a set of glasses and earplugs with your registration. We do NOT have masks available at the shop.
We’ll show you how to design and lay out your board for visual appeal and strength. Choose your woods and glue up/clamp the pieces. Note: average board size is 1 to 1.5 inches thick and approximately 10 inches wide by 14 inches long. Boards must remain clamped for at least 12 hours before step two:
Session 2: By appointment, to be scheduled during session 1. Takes about 2 hours.
Trim and sand the board, add a groove or shape the edges if desired, then finish with food-safe oil.
