Skill level: Intermediate
Lap joints are exactly what they sound like -- a joint where two pieces of wood overlap. The half-lap joint is especially strong, able to resist strong shear forces with a good glue bond.
In this class, you'll learn different types of lap joints and their applications. We'll use the table saw to make these cuts, so some experience with this tool is strongly recommended.
